Gelato strain guide
A dessert strain that changed modern cannabis. Here is the Gelato family, the famous number 33, and how Legacy Genetix carries it.
The most famous Gelato cut, nicknamed Larry Bird after his jersey.
Sherbet meets Thin Mint
Gelato is a balanced hybrid made from Sunset Sherbet and Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies. It came out of the San Francisco Bay Area, from Sherbinskis working with the Cookies Fam.
Breeders numbered the best plants, and a few became famous on their own. Gelato 33 is nicknamed Larry Bird after the basketball legend's jersey number, and Gelato 41 and 45 have followings too.
Parent of a generation
Gelato is everywhere in modern menus because it is a parent of so many hits. Cross it with Zkittlez and you get Runtz and White Runtz. It is also behind Biscotti and many other dessert strains.
Sweet, creamy, a little citrus
Expect sweet cream and berry with citrus and a hint of lavender. Caryophyllene, limonene and humulene are the terpenes most often reported.
People describe it as euphoric, relaxed and happy. Everyone reacts differently, so take it slow.
